We’ve mentioned Jason Freeny more than a couple times here on the site. He’s a favorite artist of mine, and I’ve been lucky enough to collect a lot of his works. His style is impossible to miss. He takes toys and pop culture icons and turns gives us a view of their inner workings. That’s an oversimplification that he hopefully doesn’t find too insulting. Take a look at a couple examples of his recent work:

Then there’s Nychos. He’s an artist who also gives us an interior view of cartoon and movie character, along with some living celebrities, but there’s a darkness to his work that definitely draws a distinction between their styles. That’s not to say one is better than the other. Personally, I think they are both pretty astonishing. Check out what he’s done with everyone from Yoda and Spider-Man to Lemmy from Motorhead and The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
