His Name is Vince Shlomi, but millions of people know him better as the Shamwow guy. He’s the man who managed to make half the country drool over the prospect of getting a new shammy to clean up with. Recently he’s made a whole new splash on TV with the new product, The Slap Chop, but as excited as consumers are about the new manual food processor, they are even more interested in a whole other slap chop incident that occurred last month in Miami.
Huffington Post and Smokinggun broke the story earlier today that Shlomi had a bit of an altercation with a prostitute while in Miami in February.
Shlomi told cops he paid [Sasha] Harris about $1000 in cash after she “propositioned him for straight sex.” Shlomi said that when he kissed Harris, she suddenly “bit his tongue and would not let go.” Shlomi then punched Harris several times until she released his tongue. The affidavit…notes that during the 4 AM fight Harris sustained facial fractures and lacerations all over her face…. After freeing his tongue, a bleeding Shlomi ran to the [hotel] lobby, where security summoned cops. Harris refused to cooperate with officers, who recovered $930 from her purse.
He was arrested on felony battery charges, but the prosecutor has decided not to file any charges. The same can not be said for the hooker who is allegedly considering a lawsuit against the shammy kingpin.
