Ever since Frozen first came out, there’s been a section of fans (Tumblrinas) for whom the idea that Elsa should be a lesbian has been a singular focus. It’s actually picked up steam as a social media campaign, tagged with the hashtag, #GiveElsaAGirlfriend .
Last night, the question made it back to the voice of Elsa, Idina Menzel.
“I think it’s great. “Disney’s just gotta contend with that. I’ll let them figure that out.”
The Broadway star of Wicked went on to say that, “No matter what, changed my life.”
Frozen 2 is still in preproduction. It was just about a month ago that Kristen Bell let fans know the script was written and that they were getting ready to record.
