Last season, NBC made a huge splash when they devoted an entire episode to a game of paintball. This season they are going for something a little less physically active and a lot more classically geeky.
Dan Harmon, the creator of the show had this to say on the matter:
“They’ll just be sitting at a table playing.“But there are (things done stylistically) that will make it really interesting.”
They had a whole episode about pillow forts and another done entirely in claymation. Community is the type of show that is really breaking ground and moving away from the same tired formula that has caused TV’s ratings to drop like a rock. This could actually be pretty fun. At least it can’t be worse than those God awful D&D movies.
