It’s Oscar time again and this year it looks like we’ve got a real contest on our hands. A lot of great films have been recognized this year, some have been recognized so many times that it is actually a bit boggling to the mind. ‘The King’s Speech’ for example, scored an amazing 12 nominations. The Coen Bros’ ‘ True Grit’ came through with 10. ‘Social Network’ and ‘Inception’ each managed to walk away with 8 noms a piece.
Meanwhile, there are 10 films nominated for Best Picture. Have they always had that many? It seems like a heck of a lot. No matter, all that we want to know now is who is going to win. On February, 27th we’ll all find out together.
