It’s weird to think that Zombieland 2 is actually happening. Almost all of the cast members are much bigger now than when the original film came out. The property also had multiple failed attempts to previously launch a sequel or a TV series. Now, the film is heading into production with all of the original cast-members (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin) and it is being reported that they’ll be joined by a couple of Ghostbusters.
The two actors in question are Bill Murray (who already appeared in Zombieland) and Dan Aykroyd. We don’t know how much of a role they’ll play in the film, but we’ve got a feeling that it won’t be much more than the glorified cameo that Murray had in the first film. We do know that the actors will be playing versions of themselves, which raises an important question… Didn’t they shoot Murray in the last movie?
All will be revealed when Zombieland 2 hits theaters on October 11, 2019.
