We’ve talked a decent amount about Adi Shankar. AS a mainstream producer, he’s had his hands on movies like Dredd and The Grey. Meanwhile, the internet knows him best for his Bootleg Universe films which include his take on Venom, The Power Rangers, James Bond, and The Punisher.

Last week, we reported that he’ll be working with Frederator Studios to create a gritty American Anime adaptation of Castlevania 3. In that report, we mentioned his Bootleg Universe Pitch Show, in which he sits down with famous writers and directors to see what they would do with some of the world’s biggest franchises.

Today, we’ve got some new details on who will be in the chair with him when the Bootleg Universe Pitch Show begins airing on his Youtube channel, September 14th.

Here’s who has been announced so far:
“Tangerine” writer/director Sean Baker
“The Guest” writer Simon Barrett
“The Voices” scribe Michael R. Perry
“V/H/S” & “Devil’s Due” filmmakers Radio Silencer
“Running Scared” writer/director Wayne Kramer.

There are 16 episodes set to air, so this is most likely just the first batch. We also don’t know which franchises they’ll be talking about yet.

In the meantime, Shankar is working on a new series, Gods and Secrets starring Kellen Lutz, and Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte. His Bootleg universe is currently nominated for several streamy awards including Best drama, best directing, and best actor (James Van Der Beek from Shankar’s Power Rangers film).
