Despite being ported to every imaginable platform, CEO Mikael Hed has announced that Rovio is planning on producing an Angry Birds animated series.
It’s in its early stage of development, so information is slim, but Rovio is determined to make the cartoon into either a television series or at the very least, a web series. If this happens, it would make Angry Birds the first original mobile IP to crossover into another form of mass media. Stranger things have happened of course such as the sitcom “Sh!+ My Dad Says” which was originally a Twitter feed.
Personally I’d like to see this project happen, but because I care about Angry Birds (I do not), but I’d like to see how they come up with a storyline for what are essentially kamikaze birds who kill pigs.
