THR is reporting that there has been some serious movement on the elusive “Arrested Development” feature film. The show’s creator, Michael Hurwitz, has always said that he wouldn’t even waste the energy to write a script for an “Arrested Development” Unless there were agreements from all of the show’s main members that they would participate. That means agreements had to be reached with: Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, David Cross, Arnett, Alia Shawkat, Portia de Rossi and Jeffrey Tambor.
Well guess what.. The screenplay is now being written!
This move takes everyone one step closer to getting the movie on the big screen. Is this a good thing? Who really knows…. Serenity was great and it came from a TV show. Arrested Development was a great show… but you have to remember that it was created by the same man who made FOX’s “Sit Down, Shut Up.”
