With only a couple of weeks until Avengers: Endgame hits theaters, it could be challenging to try and watch every single MCU film before the premiere. To help save you some time, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have told fans not to worry. If you don’t have time to watch all 21 films, you can easily get by with watching just three.
“[Captain America:] Civil War and [Avengers:] Infinity War without question because the events of Civil War directly affected Infinity War, and we would argue that the reason they lost to Thanos is because of Civil War,” Joe Russo reveals. “Clearly, that carries over to Endgame. If you’re going to add one more in there, I’d probably say [Captain America: The] Winter Soldier, only in that those are the four movies we directed, and they’re all thematically connected to one another.”
Given the rumors that the Quantum Realm allegedly plays such a big part in Avengers: Endgame, it’s a little surprising that Ant-Man and The Wasp didn’t make the list. We’ll know if they left it out to avoid spoilers or just because it doesn’t matter when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 25th.
