The team over at Marvel’s Agent of Shield is getting a new director of operations and while the face might not be familiar to most fans, the voice most definitely will. Second to Kevin Conroy, There are few people who have taken over the voice work on Batman that have done a better job than Jason O’Mara. ABC has announced that the Terra Nova star will be joining the cast as the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
As far as exactly which character he’ll be playing, the studio is keeping mum, but they were willing to admit that his character has Marvel roots going back to the 1940s.
“Bringing Jason into the mix as the New Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. forces everyone, particularly Coulson, to reevaluate their role in the Agency. Jason has both the physical presence and acting dynamics that will connect with and challenge even the most loyal agent.”
