Word from Variety is that one of the best sitcoms on TV, The Big Bang Theory, is getting renewed for at least two more seasons as part of a multi-series deal with CBS.

The chatter is that “Men” will get a three-season order and “Big Bang” will get two-season deal. “Two and a Half Men” ranks as primetime’s top-rated comedy and the 9 p.m. anchor of CBS’ formidable Monday comedy block. “Big Bang” has blossomed into a bona fide hit in its sophomore season in the Monday lead off slot.

Both sitcoms are co-created and exec produced by Chuck Lorre. The renewal would take “Men” into its ninth season in 2011-12. “Big Bang” would be booked through its fourth season in 2010-11.

I’m not sure if I really care all that much about “Two and a Half Men” anymore. The show used to make me laugh, but it just doesn’t really hit the spot for me anymore. Lucky for them, it seems to do just that for millions of other people around the country.

Now I’m just waiting for the renewal of How I met Your Mother and all will be right. I mean… they can’t cancel it, can they? How will find out how he met their mother?!?!
