We’ve just received word that producer Bryan Singer is auctioning off the ultimate geek opportunity to visit the set of “X-Men: First Class” in the UK. The auction will benefit Project Angel Food, which provides meals for “men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses.”

“Share the excitement of film making with a set visit of the next installment in the highly successful film series, X-Men to meet producer Bryan Singer. Although cast information has not been announced, the next X-Men film, X-Men:First Class, is sure to be an action packed classic. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will also give the winner a chance to meet some of the actors who may be on set that day. This set visit will take place in Fall 2010 in the United Kingdom.”

As a bonus, the auction also tipped us off one a little plot synopsis for the new Marvel mutant film:

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Sure it isn’t much, and it’s pretty obvious considering this is a prequel, but it’s official and will just have to do for now.

The auction has already started and is expected to end on this Thursday. It’s current at $2500. You can watch the bid or bid yourself here.

If you happen to win, let us know!
