Bruce Willis will obviously be back as John McLane, but now the big question is: Which up and coming actor will play his son? That is one of the biggest questions in what is turning out to be a very hot casting season.
There is apparently some dismay that A-Listers have not been lining up for the role. I guess no one wants to be the guy who has to live up to the high acting bar of Justin Long (McLane’s last sidekick).
On November 12th and 13th, Bruce Willis will be sitting down with the producer, Akiva Goldsmith to do chemistry reads with the three actors most likely to fill the slot.
The the guys in question are Liam Hemsworth, Aaron Paul, and Ben Foster. Among them, the scuttlebutt is that Hemsworth has the gig if he wants it. The question that now remains is whether The Hunger Games will keep him too busy.
