A sequel for Wanted is beginning to roll into motion as writer Chris Morgan is set to return to pen the script.
Timur Bekmambetov who directed the first film, will also return. Working next to Morgan, they will both adapt a sequel to Mark Millar’s Wanted comic book series. To some extent, Mark Millar will also be involved.
The sequel is expected to continue the journey that Wes (Gibson, played by James McAvoy) started in the first film. According to Morgan, “That is the challenge here…. wherever he ended up at the end of the film now it’s time to move him forward.”
Morgan continued, “There’s a natural journey that Wes needs to take…it is going to be opened up to be more global.”
