Yesterday, we reported that Hulu would be launching four new animated series for adults based on the Marvel characters Howard The Duck, Hit-Monkey, Dazzler, Tygra, and M.O.D.O.K.. Additionally, they are now into their second season of the live-action adaptation of Marvel’ The Runaways. Given that, after the FOX buy out, Marvel now owns 60% of Hulu, there is a great potential for the streaming network to function as the destination for Disney programming that Disney doesn’t want to air on Disney+.

In a new interview with The Wrap, Hulu senior vice president of original content, Craig Erwich is teasing that this could just be the beginning of a long relationship, and if that’s the case… why not use it as the new location for the recently defunct Netflix Marvel universe of Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Here’s what he had to say:

“We’ve had a relationship with Marvel since ‘Runaways,’ we’re getting into business on these animated shows. I’m sure it will lead to — you know, business gets you business — we have a good creative relationship with them. That’s where opportunities tend to arise.

Marvel has a ton of titles we’d be interested in. It kind of just depends on when they’re ready, [and] who, most importantly, is going to be behind these things.”
