We saw our first look at the “Deathly Hallows” yesterday courtesy of USA Today, today, director David Yates confirmed that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will appear nude in a scene in one of the installments of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”
Radcliffe, 20, will appear nude for a scene with longtime co-star Emma Watson who plays Hermione Granger, one of Harry’s best friends.
No word whether the Watson, 19, will be nude in the scene.
Yates describes the scene by saying, “a horcrux [carrying a piece of Voldemort’s soul] defends itself by producing nightmarish visions, and one shows Hermione and Harry embracing and kissing.”
“It’s something intriguing and sensual for Rupert to react to, and Dan will be bare for that,” explains Yates.
It’s unclear if this will be in Part 1 of “Deathly Hallows” which is expected to debut in November 2010, or Part 2, tentatively scheduled for July 2011.
Radcliffe is no stranger to bearing it all. The actor, who has repeated expressed his interest in not being typecast appeared in the nude in “Equus,” a London and New York stage production play.
