The nearly inevitable absorption of FOX’s movie properties into Disney has not put a damper on them pushing out more and more mutant films ahead of them joining the MCU. The latest film to be announced today is a solo film, based around Kitty Pryde, AKA Shadowcat.
The character has had a long and storied career as one of the X-Men and is now the leader of the team in the comics. In previous films, she’s been most famously played by Ellen Page. As of now, we don’t know what part of her life the film will cover or if it will tie in to current X-Men film continuity. All that we know is that Deadpool director, Tim Miller and comics icon Brian Michael Bendis are teaming up to make the movie happen.
I just hope that they include her pet dragon, Lockheed.
