While many films are still sad that Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds couldn’t figure out a way to come together for Deadpool 2, Miller is happily moving on with life and his career and has just signed on to direct a movie adaptation of the William Gibson novel Neuromancer for 20th Century Fox and, it looks like he’ll be bringing part of the original Deadpool team with him in the form of producer, Simon Kinberg.

In case you aren’t familiar with Gibson’s classic novel, here’s the synopsis:

Henry Dorsett Case was the sharpest data-thief in the business, until vengeful former employees crippled his nervous system. But now a new and very mysterious employer recruits him for a last-chance run. The target: an unthinkably powerful artificial intelligence orbiting Earth in service of the sinister Tessier-Ashpool business clan. With a dead man riding shotgun and Molly, mirror-eyed street-samurai, to watch his back, Case embarks on an adventure that ups the ante on an entire genre of fiction.

However, if you are expecting to see this film any time soon, you might not want to hold your breath. Miller is currently working on another daunting task, rehabilitating Terminator for another reboot with Skydance’s David Ellison and James Cameron. Domestic rights to the franchise will revert back to them in 2018, and they want to be ready to roll with something that will hopefully make us forget everything that’s happened since T2: Judgement Day.
