In what is being considered one of the most touching moments in the Hollywood community in some time, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have all donated their salaries for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus to a trust fund for Heath Ledger’s four-year-old daughter Matilda Rose. The story had been a rumor for a while, but the film’s director, Terry Gilliam confirmed it yesterday.

“The real thanks has got to go to Johnny, Colin and Jude,” Gilliam said of their help finishing the film by playing three different incarnations of Ledger’s role of Tony. Ledger died halfway through the London shoot.

“They were all involved in other projects and they came to the rescue of this thing. And they did it solely, basically, for nothing.

” The monies they would have been paid went to Matilda. So, to me, they’re the real heroes. They’re extraordinary.”
