“Wanted” Director Timur Bekmambetov recently spoke with MTV and explained how he is determined to come up with a way to bring back Angelina Jolie’s character, Fox, despite having blown her own brains out at the end of the first film.
“‘If you remember from the first film, we have a recovery room with the baths of wax,'” Bekmambetov said. “‘We know how to do this, but it’s still tough to do, because the bullet is inside her head. But there has to be a reason for her to come back… and we know the reason. I think we found the reason for her to come back.'”
Death in movies are slowly becoming more like death in comic books. Cheap and resurrectable. Hopefully it doesn’t become a trend. Or if it does, only in comic book movies. Because without Jolie, the sequel will only be half as awesome.
