Disney seems to be making money hand over fist lately, most recently with Bolt and Bedtime Stories. In the pasty, they’ve had a lot of luck remaking older live action movies and adapting them to a more modern setting. Well, in a strange twist, they are now looking to Fantasia’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice sketch for their next live action block buster. Jay Brauchel (Tropic Thunder), Teresa Palmer (Bedtime Stories) and Nicolas Cage will star.
I’m just not sure how to react. I was pretty amazed when they said they were making a movie after the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and the first one turned out good. Who knows, this could be genius. … Or not.
