This past weekend was Disney’s first ever major fan event. Thousands of people filled the halls to see the latest in everything Disney. News was abundant, collectibles overflowed from their booths and celebrities were popping up everywhere. We were lucky enough to have one of our Jr Wookies at the show and initial reports are that it was amazing! We’ll have images and a recap of the show up in the next couple of days, but here are a couple of the news bits that came up just to help tide you over:
– Pirates of the Caribbean 4 has been named “On Stranger Tides” and will be released in the summer of 2011.
– The New Muppet film will be called: ” The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made”
– The Disney Theme Park ride, Star Tours will be getting a sequel
– Disney World in Orlando is getting a whole new Fantasy Land park that highlights the Disney Princesses
– Guillermo Del Toro has announced that he is is starting a production company for making animation under the Disney banner to be named “Disney’s Double Dare You!”
