In a move that has caught a lot of people off guard, Disney dropped the first teaser for their live-action remake of Dumbo overnight. While people are generally either for or fundamentally against the spate of live-action remakes, everyone will have to admit that this footage looks pretty spectacular.

Along with getting a good look at the all CGI Dumbo character for the film, including getting to see him fly, we also get a chance to see the characters for both Danny Devito’s Max Medici and Colin Ferrel’s Holt Farrier. We even get a glimpse at the pink elephants.

We still aren’t sure if we are on board with these remakes (CGI just doesn’t age very well), we are definitely interested in seeing more of what Tim Burton has done with this Disney classic.

Circus owner Max Medici enlists former star Holt Farrier and his children Milly and Joe to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere, who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant, until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.
