As a lot of people know, Mike Meyers wasn’t the first choice to voice the character of Shrek in the popular Dreamworks film franchise. That honor went to Chris Farley, who unfortunately passed away before the movie could be made.
Now, after several years and even more mediocre sequels, some of the early Story Reel work has been released with the voices of Eddie Murphy and Chris Farley. While Farley’s take doesn’t have the accent that we all now associate with the character, I have to say that I think I like his take on Shrek a little bit more.
