Dread Central recently reported that Sam Raimi and Bob Murawski had gone to Detroit to begin work on the fourth installment of the “Evil Dead” franchise. Yesterday, actor Bruce Campbell who played the main character Ash in the previous films tweeted:
“Believe in the remake, dawg! The project is real. In the works. Cool as hell. Scary as hell.”
This all but confirms that “Evil Dead” will rise again into another film. I suppose the bigger question remains, will Campbell reprise his role as Ash? It feels as if it’s all but confirmed, but until we get anything official, we’ll just leave it at that.
Also, still no word on whether Raimi will direct.
