While films like “The Expendables 2″ are dialing down their ratings in hopes of cashing in on a wider audience and merchandising rights, we’re happy to report that the fifth Terminator movie will be rated R. At least that’s what current property holder Megan Ellison says.

The TerminatorFans recently tweeted @MeganEllison to find out if the fifth film would be rated PG-13, and here is what she said:

We can’t really tell you guys anything about Terminator BUT it will be an R rated film as God and James Cameron intended.

To date, every Terminator movie have had an R-rating, except the most recent 2009 prequel, “Terminator Salvation.” While, “Salvation” did alright as a PG-13 film, the movie itself was just not very good. Hopefully the reboot under Annapurna Pictures will be better, and so far, it’s off to a great start!
