Paramount has released the final trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Last Airbender” and despite all the racial controversy with a whitewashed cast, the movie looks absolutely gorgeous and is perhaps the most visually impressive film to date next to Cameron’s ironically named “Avatar.”
The trailer is practically all new, with a ton of new scenes, almost too much to go through! Also, if you’re just noticing the little 3D shout out at the end of the trailer, don’t worry you’re not having Alzheimer. Paramount had just announced yesterday that they’ve decided to go with the new trendy effect. After all, it is a moneymaker. But unlike “Avatar” don’t expect it to be anywhere near the same quality. Think more like “Clash of the Titans,” and if you haven’t seen that in 3D… consider yourself a saved soul.
Based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” “The Last Airbender” stars Noah Ringer, Dev Patel, Jackson Rathbone, Nicola Peltz and Shaun Toub and will drop this July 2nd.
