A lot of people are calling the new X-Men TV series the creation of Bryan Singer. The reality is that this show comes from the mind of “Burn Notice” Creator, Matt Nix. Singer is, however, directing the pilot. It’s important to make that distinction for a couple of reasons. First, Matt Nix did a tremendous job with Burn Notice. Second, the majority of Singer led X-Men films have been garbage. Saying that Singer is doing a new X-Men series might get more clicks on a post, but it isn’t going to get many people excited about the show.

The new show, which is not connected to The X-Men film universe stars Stephen Moyer (True Blood) and Amy Acker (Person of Interest, Angel) as a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are turned upside down when they find out their kids are mutants. Now, they must go on the run and join up with an underground group of mutants who will help them fight for their survival.

Along with Moyer and Acker, the show will also star Jamie Chung (as X-Men character Blink), Sean Teale, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, Blair Redford, John Proudstar, Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White.
