What timing eh? Hot off the heels of the Mortal Kombat movie promo which debuted earlier this week, the trailer for the new Mortal Kombat game just made its way online.
Part of E3’s video game coverage that’s going on now in Los Angeles, “Mortal Kombat 9” was announced earlier and it looks amazing as it takes it back to the MK2/MK3 days when the game didn’t suck. It’ll be in 3D naturally, like most games now, but it seems as if it’ll play more like “Street Fighter 4” than previous MK 3D games. That is, the action will be kept mostly 2.5D.
Anyway, enough yapping, check out the amazing trailer.
Disappointing to see that Shang Tsung won’t be in it. You can see him in the background at 0:31 mark in the old MK1 stage.
