The Tick isn’t the only new project heading to Amazon. Woody Allen is heading to the streaming service with his first “TV Series,” Crisis in Six Scenes, starring himself and Miley Cyrus. The show takes place in the height of the 1960’s and takes a view on how current events of the day effect the lives of one suburban family and the people around them.

There’s a lot of excitement around Woody Allen’s first foray into series based story-telling. I think the shorter format may actually work really well for him.

CRISIS IN SIX SCENES is a comedy that takes place in the 1960’s during turbulent times in the United States and a middle class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household completely upside down. The series consists of six-half hour episodes and is created, written and directed by Woody Allen, who also stars with Miley Cyrus, Elaine May, Rachel Brosnahan and John Magaro. The series is executive produced by Erika Aronson and produced by Helen Robin.
