More big decisions have come down from FOX.

First, the comic book adaptation that had fans all excited, Locke And Key is not going to happen. There had been earlier rumors about script problems. There was also word that Fox wanted to make it a big event, but the money isn’t there to make it happen. Now it sounds like it is just a dead project.

However… There was talk about it being a mini-series. With Jesse Mcartney in the lead role, I could possibly see a network like CW or possibly even SyFy picking it up if the price was right.

Another show that had a lot of people excited was ‘Exit Strategy’ starring Ethan Hawke. This would be his first foray into TV. It still hasn’t been picked up by the network because the Script needs some retooling, but that doesn’t mean the show is dead by any means.

On the other side of the coin, two highly anticipated shows have been picked up for the fall.

First, there’s ‘The new Girl’ starring Zooey Deschanel, who will now be sharing network space with her sister Emily, who plays Dr. Temperance Brennan on Bones.

The bigger news is the new show Alcatraz from JJ Abrams. It’s a time travel mystery based around Alcatraz prison. That’s pretty much all we know about the story, but the cast kicks some serious ass.
Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia, Jonny Coyne, Jason Butler, Sam Neill, Parminder Nagra, Santiago Cabrera and Robert Forster all co-starred in the pilot.
