Fox pissed off a lot of fans when they canceled Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Thanks for the save, NBC), Last Man on Earth, and Lucifer, but a lot of their big shows are set to return, and now we know when. Today, the studio released their fall line-up as well as some details on shows that aren’t on the list but are slated to either return or premiere on the network this year.
The Passage (New Series)
This is a new thriller series about “a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race. When a young girl (Saniyya Sidney) is chosen to be a test subject, a federal agent (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) is tasked with bringing her in, but ultimately, becomes her surrogate father, determined to protect her at any cost – even as Project Noah’s work threatens to unleash an unimaginable apocalypse.”
Gotham
While it isn’t on the slate, Jim, Bruce, Harvey, and the rest will be back mid-season for a fifth and final season.
The Orville
Seth McFarlane’s surprisingly good Space action/comedy/drama is slated to return for a second season on Sunday, December 30th.
Prison Break
Despite mixed reviews of the show’s revival, FOX said today that they are in the early stages of developing the story for their next great escape. That said, they also said that we shouldn’t expect to hear anything for the next several months.
