We’ve got a new clip here that will excite some people and aggravate others. When they first talked about turning the short film of Frankenweenie into a full movie, I was worried about how much they’d have to pad the story. We’ve seen a few clips already, but this clip is upsetting some people I know because of how much it looks like they had to change to fill the time.

I said to them the same thing I say to myself every time a short story or film is padded to make a movie. Just think of it as a whole new property, not an adaptation of what you used to love. That way you can enjoy the new film without wishing death on the film maker for ruining something you love.

The full length adaptation of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie stars the voices of Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron and Conchata Ferrell and is set for released in 2D and 3D on October 5.
