Last Thursday we showed you the first teaser trailer for Activision’s upcoming “The Amazing Spider-Man” video game. Activision has since released the full trailer for the video game, which ties-in to the Marc Webb directed movie set to hit theatres in 2012.

In “Amazing Spider-Man,” players will be able to roam freely in New York City. The game features a new Web Rush mechanic allowing players to pull off a vast array of moves that weren’t possible before. The game will also feature an original story written by TV writer Seamus Kevin Fahey (Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Battlestar Galactica).

Many of the previous Spider-Man games have been rather disappointing and pedestrian. The games were short, repetitive and had nauseating camera angles. And while I don’t think it’ll get improved in a movie licensed game, a small part of me does want it to be really good.

Check out the full trailer for the new game below and let us know what you think. Are you looking forward to getting this game?
