Directed by John Chu (Step Up 2D), “G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes” has been renamed by Paramount Pictures to “G.I. Joe: Retaliation.” It has also been given the release date of June 29th, 2012.
The film which is suppose to be an indirect sequel to the abomination that was of “G.I. Joe” will see the return of Channing Tatum, Ray Park and Byung Hun-Lee. But it feature and star newcommercs Dwayne Johnson who’ll play Roadblock, Elodie Yung as Jinx, DJ Controna as Flint, Adrianne Palicki as Lady Jane, RZA as The Blind Master, Ray Stevenson as Firefly and Joseph Mazzello, the latest to be cast as the character Mouse.
“G.I. Joe: Retaliation” is currently filming.
