Reports are buzzing about the cast of “Futurama” returning! Despite the temporary scare two weeks ago about Fox trying to recast the show for its new season. Futurama creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen have officially released a statement announcing that a deal has been worked and the entire Futurama voice cast will return: John DiMaggio, Maurice LaMarche, Billy West, Tress MacNeille and Katey Sagal.
“We are thrilled to have our incredible cast back. The call has already gone out to the animators to put the mouths back on the characters,” announces Groening and Cohen.
A total of 26 new episodes have been ordered, and Groening’s Sci-Fi comedy is set to begin airing on Comedy Central in 2010.
