Disney isn’t the only studio preparing to bring Winnie the Pooh to the big screen. While they are planning a Hook style follow up with Ewen McGregor as a grown-up Christopher Robin, Fox Searchlight is taking on the story of A.A. Milne and how a combination of his experiences as a soldier in WWI, and the love of his son helped him create Winnie The Pooh and his pals.
The trailer looks like it goes deep into the story of the family and how the fame of Pooh and Christopher Robin effected the family. It’s not the story I would have expected to see, but I’m curious enough to want to see more.
