“Harold & Kumar” co-creator Jon Hurwitz, who directed the first two movies “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” and the sequel “Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay” announced early this morning on Twitter that the third movie has started filming:

“Harold & Kumar 3 has officially started shooting. That is all.”

John Cho (Harold) then tweeted that Patton Oswalt was also on set and that they were in Michigan:

“In Michigan. @pattonoswalt in my vicinity, holding a sketch pad, duct tape, and a reel to reel audio recorder. Eeesh.”

Oswalt responded: “Maybe it’s this Michigan air, but @JohnTheCho is looking huggable, chloroform-able, and bury-able.”

We can only assume that Oswalt will make an appearance in the film, either that or he’s a huge Cho stalker.

Both Cho and Penn are back in the respective lead roles with Todd Strauss-Schulson directing. “Harold & Kumar 3” is not expected to be out until later this year as it is a Christmas themed movie.
