A lot of people don’t know the name Dante Basco, but they remember him as Rufio in the Robin Williams film, Hook. If that still doesn’t do it for you, you might recognize him as the voice of Prince Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The 17 minute film was funded through Kickstarter and is directed by Jonah Feingold, who is now developing a new film, ‘Wendy’, a romantic comedy based around the relationship between Peter Pan and Wendy.

This is the story about Rufio, before the mohawk, before Neverland, before he was The Pan.

Roofus is a 13-year-old kid who is destined to be more than he is. After his mother is forced to put him into a foster home, he and his rag-tag group of best friends – a Jamaican boy named Julani and a bright-eyed latina force of nature named Ella – find a way for Roofus to escape his ill fate, find his happy thought and fulfill his destiny.

Here’s the sizzle reel that Feingold put together to pitch his story idea for ‘Wendy’
