Since it’s opening, Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” has garnered mainly positive reviews from both critics and fans alike. Although it only grossed half of what Nolan’s previous film, “The Dark Knight,” it’s safe to say that it’s another successful. And possibly more so if you ask the IMDB crowd who have rated “Inception” as the third best movie of all time, trailing just “The Shawshank Redemption” and “The Godfather.” It also means it was better than “The Dark Knight” which is ranked 12th.

Of course, it only has around 40,000 votes compared to others that are well over hundreds. In comparison “The Dark Knight” has 448,198 votes, while “The Shawshank Redemption” sits at a cool 501,300. Will “Inception” maintain its hold in the third spot? Perhaps, or more realistically it’ll fall similar to “The Dark Knight” which at one period was #1.

So what does this all mean?

It means you should definitely go see “Inception” if you haven’t already. It may not be the greatest movie of all time, but it is currently one of the best films out this summer.
