Most people only know John Barrowman as Jack Harkness, the time jumping immortal from Doctor Who and Torchwood. There’s actually a lot more to the guy. Along with being an accomplished vocalist with at least a couple albums out, he did a great documentary for the BBC a couple years ago exploring whether it was nurture or nature that made him homosexual. If you have a chance to check it out, it is very interesting.
Anyways, it looks like Barrowman will be doing a lot more time stateside now because word has come down that he’s been cast in the CW’s Arrow.
This isn’t his first brush with super heroes. There was actually a pretty sizable fan campaign to get him the role of Captain America.
All that is being said right now is that he’ll be playing a “Well Dressed Man who is as mysterious as he is wealthy.” They are also saying that he’s an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.
Take out the Starling city part and it almost sounds like he’s Bruce Wayne.
