Geeks all over the world just got more excited than they’ve ever been before over a horror flick. Deadline is reporting that Katee Sackhoff is the soon to be former Doctor Who Companion Karen Gillen in the upcoming horror film Oculus.
This isn’t Sackoff’s only big film in the offing. not toolong from now, she’ll be hunting down Vin Diesel in the third chapter of the Riddick Saga. She’ll also be returning to TV for the second season of the highly successful Longmire.
Here’s the plot of Oculus as reported by Deadline:
The plot begins a decade after a terrifying family incident left two young children orphans. Although her brother was charged with murder, Kaylie (Gillen) is convinced a haunted antique mirror is the real perpetrator and years later wants prove that the mirror was responsible for destroying their family. Sackhoff, will play Marie, the mother to a younger version of Kaylie. Director Mike Flanagan co-wrote the script with Jeff Howard, and FilmDistrict is distributing in the U.S.
