This seems like a tiny little thing to announce, but there’s a lot of people who are going nutty over the Avatar: The Last Airbender Franchise. In fact, they even have a name. From what I can tell, they like to be called Avatards.
The film has even drawn its share of scandal already. M. Night Shamalayan has chosen to pick an almost entirely white cast for a story that is almost entirely made up of Asian Characters. Oddly enough, his remedy for this was to give the whitest character role to the British/Indian Actor Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire who will be playing the stories main antagonist, Zuko.
Anyways, back to the point. The First viewable clips of Avatar The Last Airbender will be hitting screens on June 24th with the premier of Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen.
