While the Transformers films may suck, a lot of fans are having a great time with the animated series being put on by Hasbro and Michinima. The online venue has offered the opportunity to attack more serious stories that aren’t quite as dependent on toy sales as the traditional animation. The animated series have also become a great showcase for some pretty tremendous voice talent.

One of the newest additions to the digital series Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy is Mark Hamill, who will be returning to the franchise (he was the voice of King Charles on Transformers: Rescue Bots for 2 seasons). He’ll be playing The Fallen, Megatronus, the bot who becomes the very first Decepticon. Joining him will be Ron Perlman, who will be voicing the role of Optimus Primal, though he won’t appear until Transformers: Power of the Primes premiers in Spring. The two of them will be joined be a great cast that also includes: Judd Nelson as Rodimus Cron, Wil Wheaton as Perceptor, Jaime King (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) as Solus Prime, WWE superstar Samoa Joe as Predaking, DashieGames (Menasor), MatPat (Computron) and Rob Dyke (Devastator).
