I’m amazed it took them this long. As soon as they announced that Jon Bernthal would be taking on the role of Frank Castle/ The Punisher in Netflix’s Daredevil, it made sense that they would probably give him his own series. Hell, I’m surprised that Sony hasn’t already announced that he’ll be going up against Spider-Man in an upcoming film.
There’s no word on when the series is set to air, or how it will effect the upcoming Defenders series. We also just got the announcement that Jessica Drew is coming back for a second season and Daredevil kicks off season 2 in March. Pretty soon the Netflix Marvel universe will be just as packed as the MCU.
