As much as Cars 2 turned me off from the franchise, the trailers we’ve seen for ‘Cars 3’ give me hope that this could be an interesting film. In the newest trailer, we get our best look yet at Lightning McQueen’s new rival, Jackson Storm, voiced by Armie Hammer. We also get an even deeper look at the movie’s plot which seems to start with Storm causing a major accident for McQueen, followed by McQueen seeking new fangled ways of getting faster before going low-tech and learning to be smarter instead of stronger and then finally coming back for redemption.
Along with Owen Wilson as Lightning an Armie Hammer as Storm, the movie also stars Nathan Fillion, Cristela Alonzo, Bonnie Hunt, Tony Shalhoub, Paul Dooley, Cheech Marin, Katherine Helmond, Larry the Cable Guy, Angel Oquendo, and Darrell Waltrip.
