The newest trailer for Cloud Atlas came out today and it reminds me why I put up with the second and third Matrix films… because Andy Wachowski is capable of making films like the first Matrix film… and like this. Of course, he didn’t do it alone. It was a co-directing job with Lana Wachowski and Run Lola Run’s Tom Tykwer.
The movie looks a little complicated, but it will be nice to see something that forces you to think your way through it. It also packs a pretty huge supply of star power with Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, and David Gyasi.
Cloud Atlas hits theaters on October 26th.
