The John Wick trilogy looks like it is coming to what I hope is a great conclusion. I don’t say that because I am worried the movie won’t be as much fun as the previous two, but because I’m hoping they close out the story instead of finding silly reasons to keep it going beyond a third film. With that said, while I’m hoping it ends, this new trailer is telling me it could go out with a hell of a bang.
Today’s new trailer is full of new footage that helps flesh out the story, it gives us more of the dogs in action and it even gives us some speaking lines from Mark Dacascos’s assassin character. He’s a great actor to watch and it’s nice to hear him say something other than “Allez Cuisine!” on Iron Chef America.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum hits theaters on May 17th and stars Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Mark Dacascos, Ian McShane, Lawrence Fishburne, Anjelica Huston, Jason Mantzoukas, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tiger Hu Chen, Yayan Ruhian, Cecep Arif Rahman, Lance Reddick, Common, and Ruby Rose.
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
