Nicolas Cage is set to return as the avenging spirit and has inked a new deal to return to star in “Ghost Rider 2.”

This report comes straight from Cage’s mouth who confirmed the deal on air while being on “The Late, Late Show” with Craig Ferguson.

“There’s going to be a new one,” Cage told the host Craig Ferguson. “I just made the deal today.”

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank) will direct rather than instant fail Mark Steven Johnson.

“They’re the wonderful directors from Crank, Neveldine and Taylor,” Cage said. “They’re fantastic.”

This news automatically makes the movie ten times better. Cage had been hesitant about doing a sequel to “Ghost Rider,” but it appears as if he’s back in good spirits and feeling heroic. The sequel is tentatively titled “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” and not much else is known for now.
